Assalamualaikum and a very sad day to Dr. Fariza and my fellow friends. Well, we have come a long way from week 1 to week 14, finally. A lot have been gained and a lot have been experienced for me. Before tears roll down, I would like to share what I have gained for this last class. First thing first, Dr. Fariza had introduced us to the usage of Microsoft Excel. Frankly speaking, I have been trying to use it for several times before during my school time but my teachers just don’t have enough time to elaborate more about its function and how to use it explicitly. Hence, I have to start from a baby step to understand the know-how of using Excel. Then, we have been entertained by watching videos our friends have made. In my opinion, there are few things that can be improved in the videos presented. For example, in Aina, Joecy and Yennie’s video, element of surprise in the early minutes of the video should be included. This surprise element able to ponder curiosity within the audience who watch the video. It also able to catch the audience’s attention to know what the video is all about. Next, the element of surprise also should be included in Nazrol’s group video because the video they have produced seemed flat and emotionless. The element of surprise can be a big help to their group. In contrast with Hazman’s group, the graph of data collection for every single question in their questionnaire should be included in their Powtoon’s presentation. For example:

 By doing so, we will be able to see the clear picture how many respondents agree or disagree on each of the answers options given as well as the highest and the lowest percentage of respondents’ opinion for each question asked. Overall, I do enjoy every of my friend’s presentation. I think they have done their best and only need to insert something here and there to polish their videos presentation. Assalamualaikum and a very happy morning to everyone especially my beloved Dr Fariza. I planned to be straight forward when typing down my reflection this time as I quite difficult to stop when I start talking about nonsense. Hehehe. Anyway, we kicked start the class this week by reflecting back the elements that should be inserted in our storyboard such as narration, duration, effect and the others. However, the new information that I learnt in Dr. Fariza's class this week was regarding the process of making video. Frankly speaking, I have a lotttt of ideas when it comes to create video but did not know that it should be started by listing down the objectives first. This is because without referring to some specific objectives through the process of making the video, then the final result of making the video might be poor as we don't know what is the major point or message that we should convey to the audience. Hence, it pivotal for us to identify the objectives of making this video first before creating it.

​   Besides, Dr. Fariza specify on the importance of putting elements of curiousity in our video in which something that will trigger the audience' curiousity of what are the video will be all about and will happen next in the very first second they watch it. Advertisement that available on TV might be the best reference and I think this elements also can be found in movie trailers. Try to figure it out. Next, Dr. Fariza also shows us some examples of movie editor that available online such as Filmora, Kizeo, Stupeflix, Dvolver, Wevideo and so on. As it has become a habit to use movie maker when it comes to produce a video, Dr instead encourage her students to discover the other movie maker and I found Windows Live Movie Maker. It is quite interesting because we have been using Windows Movie Maker for a long time before this without realizes that Windows also offer online movie maker. However, what's the difference that exist between Windows Movie Maker and Windows Online Movie Maker? Worry not as you may take a look at the differences between these two things below. ​Assalamualaikum and happy meeting again my dear viewers especially me beloved Dr. Fariza! We met again for 11th time already. I wonder how time flies so fast as it still fresh from the oven the very first I enter this class full with nervousness as I am not that good to deal with technologies. However, I’m glad that I have made half-way, Alhamdulillah. Enough blabbering, let’s get to our business now. For the 11th meeting, we kicked start the day by showing to the class my-dream-vacation-brochure as person by person went in front of the class and simply elaborating about our dream vacations respectively. Its kinda fun actually to do the presentation as we able to know varies places that being dreamed by each of us and Dr. Fariza also took the opportunity to share her experiences travelling here and there.

   Next, we were assigned to google about the elements of multimedia which I found five; text, audio, image, videos and animation. Nonetheless, let me define what is multimedia first in which ‘multi’ means various and ‘media’ means something that integrate with technologies. (Spontaneously based on what I understand though). Next, instead of seeking for the elaboration for each of the elements, I simply tried to define the elements based on my understanding first. Firstly, in my opinion text is indicating words written For instance, words written as subtitles that we used to see in dramas and movies as well as the script on small tv (not so sure what to call it) that announcer read when they go on air. Secondly, audio is the sound that you listen or hear. The examples can be from instruments, voices, effect sound like in the movie and so on. Thirdly, image can be simply indicated pictures or photos. Fourthly, a video is like motion picture whereby the picture did not statically be at the same place or in simpler words people recording the real life event.  What differ video from real life event is simply by the video can be rewind for as many as you may want and real life event is usually can be viewed once only.

​   Last but not least, animation is when individuals create something like cartoons and give motion to it. It can be categorised into 2d, 3d and 4d. As we moved towards the end of the class, Dr. Fariza explained to us the next task which is making video by inserting all five elements of multimedia together. I think it is going to be interesting to make this sort of video and I can’t wait to view the groups’ videos! Oh before I forgot, you may want to take a look at the differences between images format that I prepared below. That’s all for the 11th week class!! See you again!

Assalamualaikum and a very good evening to anyone who still awake at this hour. I am sure Dr. Fariza has fallen into a very deep sleep. Heee..just guessing. Before I proceed to any nonsense talk, I would like to focus what I have gone through for 2 days ago class. Started the class a little bit (really late actually) late as Dr had to attend a programme held at UPM, I was just sitting around with my groupies talking about how far we have done for data analysing of the online survey (actually the talk was out of topic most of the time). Then, after 10 minutes, Dr. Fariza came in and started the class as usual.

   First thing first, she asked the progression that any of us have done so far and my groupies and I managed to ask her several questions regarding our data analysation. As far as I remember, she did told us that on findings part, we have to analyse the data based on the research questions and arrange it accordingly to the numbering order of the research questions. Next, she also did told us that research objectives did not have any limitation of number unless if it meant to be for an article so we can add as many objectives as we want as long as it related with the aim of the research run by us. After walking from group to group to see the students' progression, Dr. Fariza finally showed us the example of the research that she had done before on Academia. The important point on that day was on literature review. She explicitly explained that the content of the literature review should be linked with research objectives. This can be done by looking for the past research as reference for us to write the literature review and see if there are any advantages that can be added  which is very crucial as part of the content. For instance, if the research objective is to study the factors that affect learning collaboration among students, then, the literature review must have the definition of collaboration, the list of factors that may affect learning collaboration among students, the advantages of integrate learning collaboration among students and so on.

   I found this as a very informative point as for me, I actually don't really know what to write on literature review even though I had run a research before. Hence, when Dr. Fariza slowly brief us about this particular thingy, there was this relieve feelings which I thought I have came to an understanding on what to write in my upcoming literature review. I do realize that I have done some mistakes before which I just write anything related with the topic that I have research on, but then, it was all wrong. Now, I know that it MUST BE related with the research objectives. Last but not least, Dr. Fariza had given us a fun task to do which we were asked to make a brochure regarding our dream vacation which all of us agree that this was the best task we have been asked to do in Computer in Education class. So, basically she asked us to do in Microsoft Publisher and the simple to do it is quite easy for the beginners. Some of the content that we may want to add in the brochure can be some pictures, the food, and the reason why we choose the place, contact numbers and so on. Hopefully, my long-lost dream vacation brochure will capture any pair of eyes that landed on it! Can't wait to see the result!! Ohhh not to forget, instead of using the lame Microsoft Publisher, why don't we learn how to create brochure online? Assalamualaikum and a very good evening to the lovely lecturer, Dr. Fariza and my precious viewers! ​I found this week’s class so beneficial and valuable where I got to learn something new that I can apply throughout my study here. After completing other groups’ questionnaires, Dr. Fariza kindly taught us some shortcuts when we want to do our research reports by using Microsoft Word. What makes me happier is that the shortcuts able to save much more time compared when doing it manually like before. One of the examples that she have shown was doing table of contents. As we are working on our research reports so there are crucial elements that should be included as sub topics.  Instances are like below:-

​- 1.0 Introduction
- 2.0 Literature Review
- 3.0 Research Objectives

Hence, after typing those sub topics, simply bring your curser to REFERENCES BUTTON at the top of Microsoft Word and you may found TABLE OF CONTENTS of paper-like-picture. Next, click it button and tadaaaaa... !!! The real table of contents appear on your first page of Microsoft Word automatically. Years before I knew this method I was actually work my sweat out to do the table of contents manually. I have to jot down sub topics that I have or when I suffered from laziness I would just scrolling down through the pages to find the sub topics one by one. How fatigue is that huh? But now I have known the method that I want to keep practising it through my entire life. It is so beneficial yet so time-effective. Never misunderstanding this, you may also want to apply this method in doing any work as long as you use Microsoft Word. Not to forget, I have prepared a know-how video to show you several shortcuts that might take pages if I do the typing. I also recorded it just in case the shortcuts will slowly fade here in my head. LOL. This video is also available up on my Youtube channel and since I am a newbie there so do subscribe me. In shaa Allah you might see much more beneficial yet interesting videos recorded by me. Assalamualaikum and hello again to Dr. Fariza and my fellow friends! The class that was conducted for last week was pretty into correcting the mistakes that we made on our research questionnaire. I was a bit shocked that we actually presenting a lot of mistakes in the questionnaire yet just realized when Dr. Fariza took a look at it. One of the examples questions that she emphasized yet correcting for us was about the leading question. As we without hesitate jumped into the question like 'What is your preferable learning environment?', we actually should state question like 'Do you agree that  21st-century skills are a set of abilities that students need to develop in order to succeed in the information age?' to open up the respondents' mind the topic that we are stressing on. Next, I made some time to view the google sheet where google team automatically arrange the results of the questionnaire that we disseminated to our friends. I called the google sheet as the'time-effective template' because it makes my job easier to see clearly the result of the questionnaire in much more organizes. That is one of the differences that I discovered when it comes to compare make questionnaire on cloud and make questionnaire manually. If we are doing the questionnaire manually, it will be such a hustle for us to organize the results from the respondents but google sheet turns it the other way around where it straight forward provides the results from each respondent that had answered the questionnaire. What a time-saviour! Now it is just a matter of time to analyse the data that has been organised and provided for us. ​Assalamualaikum and happy day everyone especially my respective lecturer, Dr. Fariza.  It was such a ‘heavy’ lecture as I learnt and received so much new knowledge thus it is also kinda ‘heavy’ here on my brain (LOL).  In conjunction with that, I am going to write straight forward about a glimpse of what have come to my understanding for last week's class. On that day, I learnt about Open Source Software (OSS). According to the name; Open Source Software itself, anyone can guess that it is a software that was created openly for anyone to get an access to. Open Soft Software also provides source code for modification or enhancement by anyone who access to it.  As nowadays, people easily able to grab the pirate software, why is it pivotal for somebody to get the original one? This is because there are tons of fraud (cyber crime) happens at every corner of the world. Cases like being cheated on Internet that involves penny and account-attack or hacking is not common among us anymore. Therefore, in order to prevent piracy and free from spyware, it is highly recommended to buy the original software as it cost is parallel to its service protection.  

   Next, what is internet security? Internet security is a process to create rules and provide actions to go against thread on internet.  For instance, in Youtube channel, it has common copyright where it provides some options on HIDE, PUBLIC and UNLISTED. When MR. F clicks the button HIDE, then ones who subscribe Mr. F’s account only able to view his videos whereby when Mr. F set it into public, then anyone who make an effort to find the videos will be able to view it. However, when Mr. F put his videos under UNLISTED, then it would be only him who able to view that video even though there is an attempt to find his video. So, here common copyright is actually going on. It secures the users’ videos when he or she set them for options except for PUBLIC. Thing like co-authoring somebody’s videos will not happen.

   Despite of that, Youtube users still have to take safety steps as viewers able to edit their videos when they are on PUBLIC even though they will be receiving acknowledgments. The most common of “open-editing” website is Wikipedia where people easily can write off their opinions about something there and publish it.  At the end of the class, we were taught to write a questionnaire as an assignment for this week’s class. So, I think that’s a wrap for last week’s tutorials! Assalamualaikum and hi to the beauty with brain, my Dr. Fariza and fellow viewers! I was much anticipated for today’s class as we were presenting our findings based on the topic give. Such a looonngggg and full of information presentations by everyone. We kicked out the evening with me and my teammates being the first group to present the 21st Century Skills topic. Basically, I define the 21st Century Skills as a list of skills developed from a young age that are pivotally will be needed in the workplace. The skills can be emphasized to the 4 C’s which stand for communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity. Those skills are not just being presented during the working period in the future but also useful for participation in class and out-of-class technology.

   Next, formal and informal learning are one of the points that have been repeated by most of each group today. I can relate the formal learning to 20th Century Skills where the teaching and learning session were confined within a square classroom while 21st Century Skills demand teaching and learning session beyond the blackboard. In conjunction with that, ICT is one of the derive tools that push forward the boring 20th century skills into the comprehensive 21st century skills. As what have been mentioned during the presentation, technologies actually enhance learning. As evidence, we are introducing and inserting the e-learning, mobile-learning, flipped classroom and so on to the students currently and discourage to practise the traditional method in the classroom. In a simple term, ICT will attract students’ attention in learning rather than just watching a teacher lingering in front of the class, back and forth.

   Interestingly, Dr. Fariza also mentioned about self-paced learning. Without googling to the internet as usual, I came out with my own understanding of self-paced learning which is a student who capable to study on their own without 100% depends on the teacher. In Prof Amin's class, self-paced learning is described as one of the characteristics of a good learner. If I relate it to Computer in Education course, self–paced learning shall be referred as discovering the technologies by us without initially learn with full guidance provided by the instructor. As we discover the process by ourselves, it will directly lead the learning into a meaningful one without merely depending on guidance. Oh ya, before I end my writing, I would like to share an interesting video about self-pace learning. ​Assalamualaikum and hello everyone! We meet again on the fifth week of Computer in Education class. Today I felt much enthusiasm running through my blood as I was mentioned by Dr. Fariza that all of us will be given the opportunity to prepare our presentation slides based on each topic distributed. While the others might felt it is such a burden or another-assignment-to-come mood, I felt the other way around. It has been such a long time for me to do a presentation so I kind of missing the moment of me struggling to prepare different kinds of presentation back then during diploma.

    Enough blabbering, let’s go to what I have learnt today. Dr. Fariza had a talk to be given next door so she just dropped by the class for a minute to explain about Google Drive. To be honest, I have been briefing about Google Drive previously but not to the point that I will do some task by using Google Drive. First thought that across my mind when Dr. Fariza told us that we will learn about Google Drive is “I AM DEAD”. This is because this Google Drive thingy doesn’t attract, even a glimpse of my attention during the diploma period. Nonetheless, it is a different feeling when I have understood this particular thing. I even felt amazed that Google provides Google Slides as similar as to Powerpoint Presentation so that people might use it for presentation purpose. A couple of hours before I wrote this, I have learnt that I must go to right side of my Gmail account and click on the buttons-like feature. At there, there were maps feature, news feature, calendar feature, youtube feature and so on that able to be connected only by login to my Gmail account. How amazing is that! One doesn’t have to click on different new pages to go to those features but just linked it on by using Gmail account.

   After that, I just clicked on the Drive feature and I have been “driven” to the Drive page. As simply as click on NEW, I manage to create a new presentation slides there and share the slides with anyone that I wanted to including Dr. Fariza. I have found that Google Drive is much easier to be compared with Powerpoint Presentation as it auto-saved one’s presentation slides without have to worry that it will lose somewhere like all of us did by using Powerpoint Presentation. Besides that, one may edit the slides anywhere and anytime if it requires group presentation where the group members may put away pen drives to transfer the slides. This is because with internet connection, any Gmail account owners that had been shared with the slides may edit it without even meeting each other. Such a time saviour! The features there is more or less similarly like we have in Powerpoint Presentation thus first timer doesn’t have to worry as they able to do editing as simple as they have done previously but fit in more advanced way. I can say that Google Drive is so cool! I swear that I will be using it for my entire life time and teach the advantages of using it to my students in the future. ​Next, What is CMS ? CMS  which stands for Content Management System is an application (more likely web-based), that provides capabilities for multiple users with different permission levels to manage (all or a section of) content, data or information of a website project, or internet / internet application. CMS in a simple term refer to for formatting and editing content on website. CMS is very helpful with managing versions of a document and centralizing all aspects of something in one place. Everyone can relate to a time when multiple users made changes to a document only to find out after publication that at least one version of changes didn't make it through to the final version. In the context of internet, CMS is a piece of software that allows you to manage and create content. Examples that indicate CMS are dropbox, google drive, website, blogs, wordpress and many others. As simple as that. Let me point out one of the example which is Dropbox. In dropbox, one can manage the content of the dropbox in share folders.


​Lastly, what is Course Management System or CMS 1? CMS is a bunch of software tools that provides an online environment for course interactions. It enables instructors to create online courses content on website. For me, course management system is a platform where two parties which are the ‘giver’ will provide the learning content online and may be achieved and received by the ‘receiver’. It makes the teaching and learning process easier by providing a framework and set of devices for instructors to convey their syllabus content to students. That's all for today!
